Dr. Shannel Kassis Elhelou
Understanding Neurological Issues as a  Family Caregiver

Dr. Shannel Elhelou is the founder of Brain Centric Neuropsychology. She is a neuropsychologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of neurocognitive disorders in adults and older adults. She provides neuropsychological evaluations, psychotherapy, and consultations for dementia care, with a strong focus on caregiver support. Dr. Shannel integrates evidence-based, holistic approaches to promote brain health, emotional well-being, and healthy aging.

She is an active member of the American Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology, and International Neuropsychological Society. Dr. Shannel’s work centers on non-pharmaceutical interventions for cognitive decline, lifestyle factors that support brain health, and advocacy for older adults’ access to mental health resources.

Topics Include:

  • Common neurological conditions affecting loved ones such as, (Dementia, Stroke, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimers)

  • Symptoms and progression of these conditions
